I Will Appoint A King Over Myself - Parashat Shoftim

The Ma'or VaShemesh, student of the of Rebbe Elimelech of Lizhensk says, the meaning of "I will appoint a king over myself" from Parashat Shoftim refers to finding a Rabbi, and doing everything they say. As it says in Masechet Gittin 62a, the Rabbis are like kings. We need a Rabbi to instruct us in the ways of the Torah and to help us do TeShuva.
